Rainbow Craft #1

 We are learning about Weather this week and I came across this quick idea for a cute and easy Rainbow craft. This entire project took less than 5 minutes to prep and finish so its a great idea for those little ones with shorter attention spans.

I started by cutting out a cloud shape for each child along with strips of construction paper that coordinated with ROYGIV and I added a large pile of cotton balls.

Science: Baking Soda & Vinegar Fun

We decided to do a quick and simple chemistry project with Azilee over the weekend. I had pinned this Baking Soda and Vinegar project a while back and decided to try it out. The pin originally stated it would blow the bag in the air like a rocket which I thought would be neat since our theme this week is stars, planets, and outer space. Our packets did not blow up in the air but it was still a neat reaction to watch and experience.

Homeschool Q&A Answers pt 1

A few weeks ago on my YouTube page I posted a video asking for any questions that subscribers might have about homeschooling. The questions could be general information, specifics about our journey or decisions, and/or questions about curriculum's. I had several great questions and broke the answers down into 10 minutes segments. Here is Part 1. Simply Play: Brown Paper Bags

This week we used a brown paper bag to make a Bear puppet. While we were doing this I thought of all the fun activities I did with basic paper bags while growing up and decided to share some of these with you and later with the kids.
You can use them for puppets, a paper kite, you can let the kids draw on the brown paper and use it to wrap gifts or packages, make a paper bag book, and you can use them for sensory play. For sensory play you can allow the child to rip, fold, or crinkle the paper.
There are lots of simple activities to entertain children of all ages.
