Re-Play Sippy Cup Review & GIVEAWAY (Closed)

Honestly, over the last 6 years we have used every cup option available from straw, no straw, hard spout, soft spout, “spill proof”, insulated, throw away, and the list could go on and on. I’ve never found a cup that we all love and instead we ended up with full of unusable cup clutter.  At the time we had a 6 month old who was being introduced to the world of sippy cups, a 22 month old who had chewed up more cups than I can count, and a 6 year old who had no need for them.
While at the Great Cloth Diaper Change at the Baby Grocery Store, my friend Carrie picked up the Re-play Sippy Cups and mentioned splitting a pack. I wasn’t familiar with the brand so I decided to look them over a little closer before making a decision.
They were priced $5.95 for 2 cups which is around the average price of Sippy cups at the larger box stores. My thought process went like this “There cute, I don’t want to spend the money, I love the colors, Do we want to take the chance on more cups, they are made in the US…” and this typical internal struggle continued for a bit.
Then Molly said that Shannon bought them for her daughter and had raved about them. You can call it making a purchase by the word of mouth or Peer pressure  (I'm still not sure where the spontaneity came from) but I quickly grabbed the Green/Pink combo pack for my little ones.

My main concern was that they would not live up to their “spill proof” label like so many cup we had tried before. We take frequent long distance road trips and I wanted needed something that could be tossed around in the car a few times without me having to jump over the backseat to keep a spill from happening on the car seats they would be riding in for hours. These have lived up to and exceeded my expectations.
I did have one issue with a valve becoming a little stretchy which caused leaking if the kids threw their cups down (happens frequently in this house) and they informed me that you can order replacement valves. It took 7 months before this leaking issue occurred which I think is great in comparison to other cups that started leaking after a week.
They are extremely durable and have help up to constant toddler destruction for almost a year. I purchased a 2nd set at The Baby Grocery store back in the summer and have been just as pleased with their durablilty.
They are made from FDA-approved recycled plastic, are dishwasher safe, and are free of BPA, PVC and Phthalates. They are made from recycled milk jugs and FDA approved recycles plastics.
My friend told me that her son was unable to drink from them because the valve seal is so tight. We didn’t have these issues with our infant or toddler but I wanted to mention it. I suppose you could always take the stopper out, but they would no longer be spill proof which is important in this house.  I also loved that the silicone valves are easy to clean by hand but also washed up well in the utensil basket inside our dishwasher.
I emailed Dandelion, the makers of Re-Play products, to tell them I was going to do a review of their products and they were happy to sponsor a giveaway of 2 Sippy cups in the colors Aqua and Orange (which looks more Yellow to me).You can purchase these online or you can click to find a local retailer!
I will have a review & giveaway of the Re-Play divided plates coming soon. If you don’t want to miss it, “like” the Facebook page and subscribe for more updates.
